I'm not saying I want this guy to be President, but I do think it would certainly make for an interesting debate if he were the Republican nominee. At least there would be a real "conservative" on the ballot then, instead of these phony Reagan wanna-bes like Romney or Fred. Now we read that his fund raising has surpassed John McCain, so maybe it's time the media -- and his opponents -- started taking him seriously.

Paul, who polls show with support in the low single digits, said his surprisingly strong fundraising is the best measure of his support. "I think people have underestimated the number of people in this country who are interested in a freedom message," says the Republican congressman from Texas, who has strong libertarian leanings.
