Define "Cheating"

So, I'm having dinner at McCabe's my favorite neighborhood bar Friday night (it's not in my neighborhood.... but, then, there's really nothing in my neighborhood, so I have to go somewhere else to find a neighborhood bar...) when the subject of the John Edwards Revelation comes up.

Ken, the bartender, tells me that his mother voted for Bush twice because "He never cheated on Laura."

"That maybe true," I said. "Maybe Bush never cheated on Laura; he just fucked the rest of us."

I saw John Edwards in person back in '04, and he struck me then as a real slimeball. I kept telling anybody who'd listen that the surprising thing about Edwards then was that he struck me in person as even more synthetic than he came across on TeeVee. Now we know that was indeed the case.

An elegant country "brunch" btw Benton and Little Rock. The Shell station didn't have any sausage biscuits, McDonald's stopped serving breakfast 10 mins before we got there, so it's Waffle House.
