Congrats on getting the interview!

We have to remember that "Human Flight" was first achieved by 2 bicycle mechanics from Ohio and not the many who were recieving federal funding from our military at the time.
Someone of knowledge should compile a easily obtainable safety manual for this type of research to help Mr. Suppes understand how to shield himself from the Neutron that made the bubble.

Sorry for this post and I want to say first - I like your statement and realize its point - people should think nice, safe things when talking about home fusion because it can harm no outsider.
That said, the electro-static fusion device (fusor) is not in any real way similar to the sun - they only have one thing in common, fusion. The sun uses a completely different method to achieve that and that needs to be kept in mind when making the comparison at this site. Lets not loose sight of correct science. I know the public can't handle real knowledge and the point of safety is critical and needs a simple to understand comparison but we here we need to be careful so members do not say things that make them look foolish to fellow researchers.

Great job
your progress may inspire some of us to come forward with results from our research.
Have you considered using lithium as an anode?
I have done this at a slightly elevated pressure but the reaction is unstable.
The idea is to provide a constant internal hydrogen source for an extended reaction.
The problem is that lithium melts at such a low temperature compaired to the reaction temperature.
The principle is the same as that behind the hydrogen bomb only with a slower reaction and more controlled.
Would like to here your thoughts on the matter
Alan
