Just a thought, but using high voltage to produce fusion might be like attempting to do therapy physics using an X-ray machine. Therapy physics instead uses small linear accelerators, about 18 inches long, to achieve acceleration. These make use of standing waves or traveling waves. I wonder if a spherical traveling wave moving inwardly could be created in a spherical fusor chamber? The wave could then compress the fuel as it accelerates it toward the center of the chamber. Again, just a thought.
