This was an illustration project for one of my MFA classes at the Academy of Art. The project was to illustrate a famous person from the past 100 years. I couldn't think of a better person than Philo T. Farnsworth, someone who has been basically forgotten by history, in spite of the popularity of his invention. The one-eyed TV baby comes from my Grandfather, also from Idaho, who always referred to the television as the "One-Eyed Monster."

If anyone is interested, I am offering large prints (up to 18"x30") of this image, as well as other commissioned illustrations.
